In April of 2006 a group of nine Organizers and a staff of one employee began the process of organizing a new community bank in the area. A very successful capital campaign concluded in November 2006 with over $19 million in stock sales. In January 2007 the final application was delivered to the regulators. Foothills Bank & Trust received final approval and began providing banking services to customers in June 2007.
Over the next eight years our bank's assets grew to approximately $207,000,000.00. During this time we expanded in our community as well. In January of 2008 we opened a branch to serve East Maryville, in May of 2010 we opened the doors to our new Main Office Building in Maryville and in July of that same year opened a third location in Farragut to serve Knoxville. We spent much of 2015 developing new products and our website.
As a community bank we will continue to evolve and grow to meet the needs of of the customers and communities that we serve. It was our mission then, and continues to be our mission, to work with individuals and small businesses in Blount and Knox counties.
